Indo-Pak armies trade gunfire along LoC in Poonch | KNO

Poonch, May 30 (KNO): The India and Pakistan armies on Saturday exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector of Poonch district. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing in Qasba, Kirni areas of Poonch sector in the morning. “Pakistan Army used small arms to target the locations of Indian Army on Line of Control and even civilian areas along LoC also came under firing from across,” they said. “At around 10 AM, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by intense firing with small arms in Kirni area of Poonch,” Jammu based Army spokesman, Lt Col Devander Anand said. “Indian Army retaliated befittingly,” he said. However, no loss of life or injury was reported during the incident –(KNO)
